Curiousity Killed the Cat

If ever there was a song that expressed every fiber of my very being. This would be it. Seriously. I've found the title song for the soundtrack to the movie of my life.

Cool song

I discovered this song while watching SCRUBS today, and immediately fell a little bit more in love...even though I'm not a fan of the band. I'm not sure how I feel about the music video, but the song is catchy and might get added to my iTunes playlists. Yay good music!!!

Three song picks of the day

For some reason or another, I have three songs stuck in my head, on repeat. Share a bit of my world for a minute. No judgment please.

1. Fighter (Christina Aguilera)

Yes, I realize it's Christina, and pop crap, but it does make me feel a little bit better about life knowing that everything is a test and everything I do will make me that much better.

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
Makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
It makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

2. Superman, aka Scrubs soundtrack

Two words: Zach Braff. Enough said. Should be an anthem for anyone in the nonprofit/service/helper fields. Seriously.

Well I know what I've been told
Gotta break free to break the mold
But I can't do this all on my own
No I can't do this all on my own
I know that I'm no Superman
I'm no Superman
I'm no Superman

3. Somebody More Like You (Nickel Creek)

Just because I adore a good break up song.

I didn't hear you say you're sorry
The fault must be mine
I wish you all the best of luck
At finding somebody more like you

Baby Madness

Working in the infant room at the East Side Community Center while also listening to easy listening sad FM for the over forty got me thinking: Just how many songs have the word baby in them? And could I make an awesome "baby room mix tape"? One I actually wouldn't mind listening to while wiping projectile vomit off my chest and changing only a million diapers. Of course I can. Here's what I have so far:

1. Baby Girl, Sugarland
2. Walkin' My Baby Back Home, Nat King Cole (other versions work too...though I like Cole's best
3. Baby Got Going, Liz Phair
4. Tell Me Baby, Red Hot Chili Peppers
5. Next Year Baby, Jamie Cullum
6. Isn't She Lovely, Stevie Wonder (What baby mix is complete without this, seriously?)

There's more...stay tuned!
